Concerning My Vote…

with 7 comments

My e-mail has been flooded with people wondering whether or not I will be voting for John McCain today. Some are recklessly sensationalistic, calling a vote for anyone other than McCain a vote for the culture of death. Others are more reasonable, but even these tend to be riddled with partisan devotion.

Then there came a phone call from a fellow on YouTube that I plan to meet up with at Congressman Tim Walberg’s victory party at Daryl’s Downtown in Jackson, MI sometime around 9:00 p.m. He brought to my attention an old Paleo Radio segment later turned into a YouTube video entitled “I Will Not Vote McCain.”

The question: Do you still stand by the declaration you made in early March of 2008?

To say that I was taken back by the question, or of even having been reminded of the video, would be an understatement. There may have been another individual who brought up a similar remark, but I am at a loss say one way or another. Still, the question was asked, and I was left having to answer.

My response was manifold.

First of all, I have decided since the primary that I would not publicly endorse any candidate, whether that be local, state, or national. Partisanship in the media is rampant, and it has been my conviction that endorsements from members of the media do more harm than good.

People have come to see the news through the red and blue lenses. The “mainstream media,” whether it be newspapers or television, is considered to be in the pocket of the Democrat Party. Talk-radio is considered to be a stronghold for the Republican party. Consequently, the tendency is to rely on one medium for news and commentary.

The results have been disastrous. Point-Counterpoint news programs, the blurring of commentary and hard-news, as well as the politicizing of what can or cannot be aired is just the tip of the iceberg. Belloc’s book entitled “Free Press” is sadly prophetic on these points.

Most importantly, and intimately connected with the aforementioned reasons, is my wish to be judged on the merits of my reporting and analysis rather than my party affiliation or public endorsements. It wouldn’t be hard to imagine people abandoning my blog or radio program on account of a public endorsement. On the other hand, it would be hard to fathom many people tossing me to the wind because I would prefer to endorse ideas rather than people, enabling the readers and listeners to vote in a way that is both well-informed and free from partisan allegiances.

But none of this answers Joe’s question. Will I be casting my vote for McCain today? Watch the video. Go back and read my material. And, if you are a betting man, take a guess. But know that what is done in that ballot box will stay in that ballot box.

  1. The black panthers have been intimidating any one from the polling locations saying dont bother to vote a blackman has already won. We need to stop this NOW. We need to complain to the Governor’s of every state . We need to call for the currant President to take control of this NOW. If we dont will pay the price with everything we have had to work hard for. They are committing crimes against the American Constitution. The Black Panthers are a Anti America Terrorist group Unless Obama withdraws from any votes where they have been doing this . He is part of this and is NOT FIT TO BE THE LEADER OF THIS COUNTRY. It is to be a fair and open vote. NOTE A STORMTROOPER FORCED ELECTION.

  2. I wrote in “Her Majesty the Queen of Great Britain”. It is clear that the vulgar class can not rule itself. The whole set up of America is Nihilistic. Like anybody in Michigan of the millions of voters have the necessary education and knowledge and prudence to even vote on the Legalization of marijuanna and stem cell research. These ought to have been left for Church leaders to decide. That anybody in their right minds think that the vulgar class has the aptitude to decide these issues rightly is absolutely ludicrous.

Loyalist till death. God save Her Majesty the Queen of Great Britian, the rightful, God-Blessed sovereign over these colonies! And a pox on all you rebellious scaliwags! Return to the British monarchy.

  3. Good video.

    “John McCain pathetic”. Right on.

Obamamugabe scares the living daylights out of me. Obamamugabe is a Marxist and an airhead and he will do great damage to this country. But if you think, I’ll will be voting for “Bomb Bomb McCain”, you’re sick. McCain is Bush II. McCain doesn’t have an intelligent thought in his body. The man is easily pulled to the most liberal agendas. He votes against the Republican platform and is really not conservative at all. The man is vacuous.

Besides the last of the true conservatives were the Loyalists that were driven from this country by nihilist fundamentalist Prots and Masons.

  4. I wish I could say that I was sorry that the election turned out differently than you wanted it to.

    But I’m not sorry.

  5. I presume you are speaking with Mr. Wheeler.

For the record: I believe McCain getting routed was possibly one of the best things for traditionalist conservatives and economic populists. Let’s just say I didn’t shed any tears when he threw in the towel.

Will the GOP learn from this? Highly suspect. One can only hope that they’ll tie a millstone around the ideological neck of neoconservatism.

  6. +AMDG

Regrettable as it may have been, one would think that Her Majesty the Queen of England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland had no further right to governance in her former North American colonies (south of Canada, anyway), based on her predecessor, His Majesty George III, ceding his rights in those territories in the Treaty of Paris of 1783.

I can only hope that the GOP will, indeed, learn from this defeat. They have no one to blame for it but themselves. True conservatism’s name has, unfortunately, been ruined by the neoconservative hijacking of the term. Hopefully we can reclaim it for sanity and justice, rather than the neoconservative lunacy that has dominated this country for the last decade.

  7. There is no true conservativism without Monarchy. Without royalty and a true pedigree, blueblood aristocracy, there can be no true conservativism. There can not be any true conservativism when women vote, hold political office or be judges and lawyers. There can be no true conservativism without the principle OF Church AND State.

    That is true conservativism.

There is no such thing as conserving a Nihilist revolution that undid the Old Order! That is an oxymoron. You can’t possibly, logically and intellectually “conserve” the American revolution. You can not uphold the Masonic Enlightenment “Rights of Man” Declaration of Independence and call yourself a conservative.

This the error of the Republican Party. It was NEVER conservative at its beginning, when it fomented and lead the tyranny of the Northern States against the South and advocated the abolition of slavery (That is NOT conservative but progressive); it was NEVER conservative during its lifetime when it signed the Income tax, the Civil Rights Act and various other progressive causes; and at its end, where it first espoused the elimination of the Department of Education and Jorge Busheron said, “I’m the Educational President”. The Republican party was not, or ever was “conservative”.

None of you are conservative! NONE. Unless you are a Monarchist, for Church and State! And refuse women to be voting or in politics. If you don’t stand for that program—you are a progressive and NOT a conservative.

STOP fooling yourselves. STOP deceiving yourselves. You’re NOT it. Rush Limbaugh is not a conservative, and neither is Shawn Hannity. You are all fooling yourselves.
